TGIF

My garage is a very scarey place today....Nick came home from school last night, and started the job to replace the timing belt on his car....so there are engine parts ....everywhere.  They finally got to the part that they were really worried about, and it came off fine, but it looks like someone did this job once before, and broke the part...how it has worked properly all this time, is anyone's guess.  They are hoping to get the part that broke, and fix it properly.  So for now, I'm staying out of the garage!!!!

Here's some cards....first one is the last one from the day we stamped at Melinda's

Great sympathy card...very masculine!!!
This next batch is from Tuesday when we stamped at Phyllis'.

We did one similar to this earlier in the month!!!

Left the sentiment off of this one...great masculine card.
Nice and clean and simple.
Great Faux Suede card!!!
Off to take a nap, I have a Game night with the Party Sales group from the Networking group I am thinking of joining.  Hopefully I can have a slot in their June one!!!!

Thursday -week's almost done!!!!

Sorry I didn't get to post Tuesday or Wednesday.  Spent the day with friends on Tuesday.  Dear friend, Karen B.  was visiting from Chicago, so Phyllis, Abbey and Dee and Karen and myself got together at Phyllis' house for a day of stamping...will post what we did later!!!!  Then we met Donna, Jennel and Christine for dinner at 3 Marguarrita's.  Yumm!!!!  Good evening...but it was late when I got home.

Wednesday, I had to leave the house early to go to a Women's Networking meeting...for a group I'm thinking of joining.  Very good meeting.  Then I swung home to help my daughter Kris scan in pictures of Sarah for her graduation CD she is putting together, and we worked on finishing up the graduation announcements.  Now I just have to get Steven's done...but I think I will do his on MDS!!!!  Wrapped up the day by going to Rocky Mountain Inkslingers meeting...made some great projects, and great swap...will post those later also!!!

This was the Project I brought to Phyllis' on Tuesday.  Use the smallest oval circle punch to make your cupcakes look like that new designer look.  I also ran the toppers thru the Manhatten Die, to give them a textured look.

This was the project I brought to Melinda's a while back....very simple card.  The rest are some more of the other projects that we did at Melinda's.

Great Men's card!!!!!

Fun Birthday card.

I just love this flower spray!!!!

And lastly, another good Men's card!!!!

Monday, Monday

Boy, oh boy...is it windy...feels like a hurricane without the water. I laid down for a few minutes to stop the pounding in my head(pressure change does that to me) and the bed was moving.....

OK...let's see, where do I start...been a busy day. Have some cards, a recipe, and some Doll stuff!!!!

Here is the last of the projects that we did at Donna's, weekend before last.

This is one of the cards we did at Melinda's a while back...great Get Well card!!!

And lastly, from Melinda's, great all purpose card!!!

Even though it was a windy day, it was very warm...but Chilli sounded really good for dinner tonight. Found a new, easy recipe. It's a bit more soup like then my stand-by recipe, but it was good!!!

Beefy Chilli

1 lb. ground beef(I use the leanest I can get.)
1/2 cup diced onion
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
1 TBL. Chilli powder
1tsp. salt.
3 cups water

Brown ground beef in skillet, with onion, Chilli powder and salt. Put the undrained cans of tomatoes, beans and water in a large saucepan, and heat to boiling. Add the meat mixture, and simmer for 1 hour. I made a pan of corn muffins to go with it, and topped it off with a little shredded Montery Jack cheese...Yumm!!! Enjoy and Bon Appetit!!!!

Lastly, here's a picture of our new Doll addition, Sophia,  and her summertime outfit!!!!

This was a great masculine birthday card!!!!
And here is a Cute, cute, cute Easter card!!!!
And lastly, this is just such a strikingly gorgeous card....love the colors!!!!

Needed to make up something simple for dinner, so we had Chicken Burritos.  Steven said I need to start posting my recipe's on here....I should have gotten a picture, but forgot....they did come out good.

Cathy's Chicken Burritos
1 cup instant rice
1 large can chicken(drained)
1 cup your favorite Salsa
4 oz. can jalapinos
2 cups Montery Jack Cheese, shredded(I use the Fiesta Blend from WalMart)
4 10" flour Tortillas

Boil 1 cup water and add rice, take off of heat, cover and let sit for 5 minuets.  Combine chicken, Salsa, jalapinos, cheese and rice.  Put 1/4 of mixture onto each Tortilla, and fold up.  Spray large skillet with Pam, and place 2 of the folded up Burritos in pan and let heat up a few minutes per side.  Do the other 2 Burritos.  Top each burrito with sour cream, Salsa, and more cheese....Easy Peasy...but oh so yummy!!!! We could only eat one a piece....so will be having these again later this week!!!!   Enjoy, and Bon Appetit!!!!

Weekend started off busy.  Steven asked if I could ride with him to an inspection down in Pueblo...offered to take me out to dinner...so I was a go.  3 fires along the way...I think it is gonna be a long hot summer!!!!

Came home only to battle with my computer to get it to print...have had problems since we changed printers.  Finally got it working.  Then we were off to Church to help out with the Fish Fry.  Yum!!!!  So it was late when I got home....and didn't get a chance to post.

This morning started off with the dreaded trip to the grocery store.....ya gotta eat, can't wait till the garden is in full production!!!!  Then had bills and taxes to get off after lunch...but that is all done.  Both businesses, our personal and the Trust taxes are all filed!!!!  So now I've got some time to play!!!!
Here's the last two swaps from last weekend...love them both!!!
This was my project card....the lace doily is a bugger to do a lot of, so we only did 10 of these.  I'm really into Cherry Cobbler and White right now...can ya tell???
And here's another project that I helped work on...great cards!!!

And now my sound just stopped on my computer....can't get my Pandora Radio to work....thought it was the speakers, but Steven and Nick believe it to be the sound card....so that will get swapped out tomorrow when I don't need the computer!!!!  It's always something!!!!

So now I'm off to play!!!!

Middle of the week!!!

Crazy Day.....Got a call from our daughter first thing this morning....Our Grandchild to be born in September is a BOY!!!  We have 4 granddaughters...and I love each one to death...but it will be fun having a little boy!!!!

Then off to Lowe's to get paint for the guest room....I love Lowe's, the ideas just start running thru my head!!!!  Steven spent today pulling popped nails, and spackeling.  He has one hole to patch.  Years ago, before wireless, we ran the ethernet cable thru the wall, leaving a good sized hole.

I worked on class projects, and a give away for the network meeting I'm going to next week.

Here's some pictures of some more of the wonderful Springtime swaps we did at Donna's on Sunday.

Sorry, the top one is crooked....I tried to scan it straight...but it wouldn't cooperate.  Will finish up tomorrow!!!!

Busy Day!!!

My wonderful husband spent the whole morning stripping the wallpaper border off of our guest room.  I had been dreading doing this, since I was the one who put it up 20  years ago...and I knew it was stuck on there good!!!!  He got it half done...and once we figured it out, it wasn't so bad.  Next step is to get the ceiling painted.

Finished up another necklace...have been really into beading lately.
It came out pretty good.  You can go here , to my Etsy shop and see some of the others I have done. Now I need to do a bracelet and earrings to go with this.

As promised...finally got some of the cards from Sunday's Stamping Day.  This is my swap.

And here are 3 of the swaps I got...can you guess...our theme was Easter or Spring.

FUNKY FLOWERS
I was gonna post the Swaps from Sunday, but I finally got done the sample for my class...and wanted to get that going, since the class will be in April.  Many of you have seen the Die Cut flower pot I have in my Studio, and have asked if I would be doing a class with this.  Then they came out with these lovely Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kits in the Occasions Mini....and these work so well making the flowers, I decided to use them.  The class will include a package of the Blossom Builders, so you will actually be able to make more then the 6 flowers we will be making.  The Class will be held on Sunday, April 22 from 1-3.  Cost is $15, and includes the Blossom Builders kit, the 6 flowers we will make from the kit, and a similar flower pot.  I need to have everyone who wants to take this class sign up by Sunday, April 15, as I need to order the Kits.  Very springy, and way too cute.

Finally, a Tutorial!!!

Start with the base of your card.  I used Wisteria Wonder Cardstock.  You will want to cut it at 4 1/4" , so down the middle long ways.
Next you want to score it using the Simply Scored tool, at 2 3/4" and 8 1/4".  This will give you your gate fold.
Next, using your choice of designer paper, I used Specialty Sweet Shop, cut two different patterns at 2 1/2" by 4".
Attach to the front or your gates.
Stamp the ice cream cone from the Mouthwatering Set in the Occasional Mini, in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink on a 1 3/4" by 3 1/4" piece of white cardstock.
On a scrap of Real Red cardstock, stamp the ice cream part of the cone, in Versamark Ink.  Using your Powder Pal, sprinkle it liberally with Cherry Scented Emboss Powder. Tap off the excess embossing powder and  heat with your heat tool, just until melted(don't burn it!!!)

and mount it onto your cone with a Dimensional.
Using the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punches Pack, punch out of a scrap of Red Glimmer paper, a circle, and mount it onto the top of your cone with your Snail Adhesive.
Layer your cone onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock cut at 2" by 3 1/2".

Wrap this with a piece of Lucky Limeade 1/8" Organdy Ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack in the Sale-a-Bration flyer.

Attach this piece to the left hand side of your gate, making sure to only use adhesive on the left side of the piece, so that your gate will open.
As with any good gate, you will need to fasten it shut.  I used a Library Clip from the Clips Assortment.  Way, way too cute...I was skeptical about the Scented Embossing powders...but this one is very cherry...I wanted to eat it!!!!  Tonite my Stamper 10 Group meets...so I will post our projects tomorrow.

If there is anything that you see here that you need to get, I can take care of it for you....just contact me!!!!

Had a great day.....Started off having to go grocery shopping, we were out of everything....and if I wanted to make Enchillada's tonight....needed some cream and tortillas.  I hate grocery shopping...but now that I'm not working outside the home....I can go at my pace....so it's not quite so bad!!!!

Came home and after doing a little bit of housework/laundry, played in my Studio.  Then the door bell rang and it was Christmas.  I've been stalled on a few projects I am working on....but the order came...so WooHoo...now I can get on with those.  And the scrapbook pages I sent off to have printed came....I was amazed...wasn't expecting them until the end of the week.....but there they were.  Here are my 2 favorite pages....such fun little girls!!!

Used My Digital Studio...and it was so very easy....these were pre-done pages...I tweeked them a bit, but basically dropped the pictures in.....I can see I'm gonna get my scrapbooking caught up!!!!  Contact me if you would like to see this program...and you can have a free download for a month right now....so that is a really good deal.

The Enchillada's were the best I have ever had.....Steven was in seventh heaven....only problem is tortilla's are so high in carbs.....He would have eaten half the pan if not.  Not good for a diabetic.  Froze the other half for later in the month.
