Busy Week!!!

We've been so busy this week at work...One of our boards is going to production..and so I've been up to my eyeballs in audits of parts...I was so glad to see that box go out the door today....Then they have me compiling some records, and reports...again...up to my eyeballs in legal research....I didn't even realize it was 5:00 this afternoon...rushed out so fast, I forgot my cell phone...so need to run back by tomorrow....But I'm almost done that task...and I think I got the hang of it eventually!!!! It was so quiet today as half the office is on a business trip, and most of the Engineers were at a class up in Denver, ....I didn't realize how much I missed their bantering....They are a good group of people!!!

Just finished up my project for next weeks Technique Tuesday Class....so here is a Sneek Peek. Enjoy...and if you'd like to join us...Tuesday, September 21, at 6:30.

Technique Class

Well....I ment to post this last weekend...and forgot....these are what we did for out Technique Class on Tuesday night, Friday nights class was cancelled as they closed the Rec Center early due to the snow(it would have been nice if someone had told me...I drove over there...and then I had to rush home to let all my students know so they wouldn't head over).....We will have a chance to make this one up in our make-up class!!!!(held every 6 months-you can also make your book covers then!!!)

This month we did an Altered Background Paper class....and this was our page for our Technique Book.

And this was a card using the Bride Specialty Paper...which lends itself so well to this technique!!!
If you are interested in joining us and learning a new technique each month....we meet the 3rd Tuesday at 6:30 at my house ($2.00 supply fee) or the 3rd Friday, 6:00 at Wooodman Hills Rec Center East, anyone may attend. Hope to see you there.

Busy, Exhausting Day

Steven and I got up bright and early this morning to go work on a Habitat for Humanity Home that our Church is helping to build. It was Early...but it was not bright....the weather had to be the worst in eons!!! Cold sleety, snowey, and very foggy. In fact we missed the light at Stapleton...and ran the red light....it was so foggy, and the fog was in patches...so we were probably going a little too fast...all of the sudden...there was the light...and naturally...the car just slid thru the intersection...fortunatly...no one was coming thru!!!! The house is a very cute little 5 bedroom, 2 bath....teeny tiny...and 16 people are going to be living in it. Fortunatly, with the weather...we didn't have to do the siding we were scheduled to do....but it was pretty cold inside!!!! WE did sheet rock.....I measured and cut and Steven and Mike, our other crew member...screwed it all up....got a bed room done in 4 hours.....at home that would have taken a whole weekend!!!!

I was wiped out when I got home...and just couldn't get warm....even though I had 6 layers of clothing on....so I curled up with my comforter and took and hour nap which managed to thaw me out....I'm getting to old too do hard labor!!!!

Here are some pics of the Technique page and card we did Tuesday and Friday night at my technique classes.

This month we learned about Rub-Ons....great product...ours are the best...they give a very crisp image.

And here are 2 more examples I did....I love the Valentines one...and the one using tags came out good also!!!
If you are interested in learning a new Technique each month....join us ...we meet on the 3rd Tuesday, 6:30 at my home, or the 3rd Friday, 6:00 at Woodman Hills Rec Center East. Class is usually only an hour long...but we do a page for our technique books, and then a card using that technique....There is a $2.00 material fee for the class at my home. Just let me know you will be joing us!!!

OOOPPPSSS...I forgot!!!

I forgot to post the pictures of the Technique Classes we did this month. I think I just got so busy with the crop...I thought I had done it...so here they are....we did Doodling this month...about as easy as you can get,......remember doodling in Junior High School.....Well just take that to your die cuts or stamped images.....add a personal embelishment. Next month we will be doing Faux Silk....I love this technique!!!

Don't look too closly at the patterned paper...it is some older discontinued papers...I'm trying to get used up....but I still love it!!!

Another Brisk Day!!!!

Yuck...I had to go into town early this morning for some lab work and x-rays(routine) and yuck....it was very cold and ICK.
Here are the last of the swaps from 2 weeks ago!!!

And this is the page we did for our Tuesday and Friday Technique class....the card we did is the same. It is a very easy technique, using 2 different glitters, I call "Glitter Times Two".

1-You cut out your immage using the Sticky Pages...I used the Large Alphabets in my Big Shot...too much fun!!!
2-Place that down on your paper and carefully pull up an edge and cut it. Do this in a few areas so that you have 3-4 spots open.
3-Pour your 1st Glitter color on and tap off well.
4-Take off the rest of the pink tape and add 2nd Glitter color. Voila' !!!

Join us on the 3rd Tuesday or Friday of each month as we explore new Techniques!!!

It's a Holiday Weekend!!!

I really shouldn't complain. Yesterday I got off of work early....They were sealing the floors next door, and we all were getting very affected by the fumes....so at noon I left....I was starting to lose my concentration...and then I had a major hot flash(which I haven't had in 3-4 years....) It felt like someone had lite the floor under me!!!! Spent the after noon running errands....Today work seemed to drag on and on!!!! But it's the weekend!!!! Yippee!!!!
As promised ages ago...here are the pictures of our trip to Glenwood Springs. Here's me and my honey!!!!
And a picture of the caves...very "cool"!!!

I'm behind again..and I apologise....hope to get caught up this weekend!!! Next week are my Stamper's 10 Clubs....I still have a few openings...so I'd love to have you join us!!! Lots of fun ideas I want to hare. I will be offering lots more classes this fall and winter....just too much cute stuff out there.

The following week is my Technique Tuesday and Friday classes.
These were last months project....we are compiling a Technique Book and then we do a card using that technique. Lots of fun!!!!
