A Zuchinni Baking Day.....

Let's try this again...for some reason it didn't retain all I wrote!!!

Today was my day off...so I started out early with errands....came home at lunch time and started in with my Zuchinni Baking.....Made 3 loaves of Chocolate Zuchinni Bread...thanks so much for the recipe Kathy...Steven loved it!!! Will take one to work, freeze one...and the other is half gone already!!! Also put together 2 Green Summer Squash casseroles, one I will freeze and the other is for dinner tomorrow....Also gave tons of Zuchinni away on my excursions today...have a boat load to take to work...and Steven says he is putting out a stand tomorrow....as the Garden is chock full again!!!! After all that, went to my Friend Deb's house, who is a Miche Bag Rep....if you have not seen these bags, please go to her website. They are beautiful...got my 3rd cover and handles to convert my handbag to a shoulder bag!!!!

Was going thru my pile of cards to post and found this one, which I should have put with my projects from October's Rocky Mountain Inkslingers.

And here are the last of the Convention Swaps....
The small blue card is gorgeous....and the Popsicle Card is similar to what my Downline Karen did in her Class up at Jeffco County Fairgrounds this past spring.
This last one is just beautiful...the vases are ovals punched and then each end is cut off, curved a bit, and then white was sponged on one end to highlight it ....very classy!!!

Cards for the Troops

Today is the day....If you have any excess cards, paper, supplies, that you would like to go to a great home...or if you have time to come by, between 1 and 3, we will be prettying these up to send off to Operation Welcome Home!!!! This will be a quarterly ongoing event...so if you can't get by today...just get stuff to me next time you see me...and I will publish the next workday date later!!!

Yesterday was my Stampin' Free for All....I didn't get too much scrapbooking pages actually done....but I did get some organization done...which was sorely needed!!! Here is the one page I did get done!!!

We also did a Make n Take...

This card is even more beautiful in person....Uses the New...Just Believe set, love this set....and the new Smooch Spritz....a little messy till you get used to using it...but so beautiful!!!

WooHoo...it's Friday!!!

Hey all....it's Friday!!! I do have a fairly busy weekend...but it's mostly Stamping related. Tomorrow is my Stampin' Free For All...Stop on by and work on some projects...I will have some drawings for some discontinued product, and a cute Make n Take which I just finished up!!!

Sunday is my Cards for the Troops....This will be a Quarterly Event that I do...so I will be collecting cards, card fronts, partial cards, and supplies anytime. I prefer standard sized cards...if you do off sizes, please supply the envelopes to go with them...otherwise the envelopes are covered...Also ...no Glitter...Night Vision can pick up the glitter if it gets on their uniforms. Drop on by Sunday from 1-3 and we will work on prettying them up...I hope to get them off to Operation Write Home next week. These cards are made available to the troops to send home to their loved ones since they can't get things like that there. They are greatly appreciated!!!

A Much Needed Day Off!!!!

With Stampin' Up! and work...and don't get me wrong....I love both of my jobs!!!! I know I'm very fortunate in that aspect...but I really needed a day off.....I was very lazy this morning and slept in till 7:00...and then slowly picked up the house, did laundry, and a few houshold things....and then got down to some serious Zucchini Bread Baking....Along with freezing some Zucchini.....That was this morning, and so now I'm down in my Studio, playing around with my Blog, and will get to some stamping!!! This evening, Rocky Mountain Inkslingers is having their yearly Anniversary Dinner....at Bambino's Restaurant...they have a yummy buffet....so that will be fun!!!! Thought I'd post a few more things from the pile on my desk!!!! The first is from my Mailbox....

Hey All....Spent the morning on the phone and running errands....Whew....glad that is all done!!! It's getting hot out there....Have a class this evening....if you ever want to join our Technique Classes...I have combined the 2 to the 3rd Tuesday of each month....we will learn a new technique each month...along with making a page for our technique books, and a card. Kind of a Hodge Podge....

Todays' post is a little bit of this and a little bit of that....I need to get busy wrapping up Thursday and Friday nights Stamper's 10 club pojects, and my workshop on Saturday!!! Thought I would have Thursday to work on it...but they have added Thursday to my work schedule...which is a good thing!!! But I need to get to work!!! First, I wanted to post a picture of some of the goodies I got at
Convention....

When we check in at Convention...they give you a great bag, filled with all kinds of goodies...this is some of what was in mine!!!! Can't show it all as alot of it was Make and Take stuff, which I will be using for classes, clubs and Workshops this year!!!

This was this years Logo...which they made into a Pin....I love it ...I think because this is a font that I absolutley love....Sorry for the picture...my camera does not like to do close ups....

And here are a few more Convention Swaps....I just love this Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper....the colors are just so yummy!!!

Lastly...I thought I'd get a few birthday cards from my mailbox....yes, Thursday is my birthday!!! It's seems to be stretyching out the whole month...which is great!!!

A Meeting and Birthday's!!!

Hello all...busy getting ready to have my Ladies and the Stamps Downline Meeting tomorrow.....We have such a good time, with learning, goal setting, swaps, Make & Takes, free product...and a yummy Ice Cream Social!!!! Not to mention...they are all such great ladies!!! Can't wait!!!
I started celebrating my birthday early last week when my Stampin' Friends got together at Mimi's. We celebrated mine and Isabelles birthday...and here is my bag of wonderful stampin stuff!!!

I'm slowly going thru it all an item a day...draws out the birthday experience!!! Will post the cards later!!!

Catchin' Up on Catchin' Up!!!

Sometimes it feels like the harder you try and swim....the more you are just treading water....today is a catch up day for me!!! Along with running errands this afternoon!!! I do feel like I'm starting to get into a routine with work and SU and all...so that is a very good thing!!!! I have plans for my Sunday Downline meeting almost finished...will post some pictures later!!! We are doing an Ice Cream Social theme...and it has really been fun. The wheels have been turning for my November meeting!!!

Toasty Tuesday...

Hmmm...this weather just can't get much hotter...or steamy!!! I will sure be very glad when fall gets here!!!

Today, I'm posting pics of last month's Stamper's 10 Hostess Club projects....yes, I know, I'm way behind,.....but I have this month's projects almost done...so will do a sneek peek later!!!

This one is a Shaker Card...it's a little hard to see, but the center frame is raised, with a window, and beads in side to shake!!!!

This one was my favorite...although it was alot of work!!! Again...hard to see in the picture, but it is a movement card...when you open it, the stars are on strips of window sheet and they move!!!

Tips and Swaps

I get to kill 2 Birds with one stone!!! I promise ... no birds killed!!!! First, let me say,what a great time I had Sunday at our All Day Stamp at Jennells.....the food was scrumptious...the company great...and I want to put out a humongous THANK YOU to Dee ... who spent the afternoon helping me with my swaps for Convention!!! Without her....I would not have them done I'm sure!!!! Dee....you get to pick a card from my swaps I bring back!!!

This card is todays tip and will also be one of my swaps.....The tip is not to forget to use your Crystal Effects to highlight different stamped images....I used it here on the piece of chocolate.....but have done ducks, raindrops, berries...you name it....it gives you one more texture to work with ....and we all know we need to get more testure into our work!!!

So this is also my first swap for Convention...will show the others later!!!!

Convention is coming...Yikes!!!!

Every year...it always seems to sneek up on me no matter how hard I try to plan.....I will be leaving for convention in just over 2 weeks....and I am not ready!!! I had booked this month solid with SU events...and then I got my new job...so now I just need to be more organized!!!! I did get my little gift for my Downline that will be attending wih me finished last night!!!!

And I have started 3 of the 4 swaps I was planning on doing....so that is good!!! Can you tell I'm excited....our conventions are just so much fun....I'd join the company jsut to go!!!!

SUPER WOMAN I AM NOT!!!!

Wheeew......I actually did it all....got all of the material cut and punched for my Make & Takes, and class this weekend....I will try and remember to take pictures. We did the Box class last night...and I let the ladies cut out most of the project....but it soon became very evident that we could not get 12 people thru 3 boxes in an hour if we did that...so I had to pre-cut and punch everything!!!! Then I got everything into their boxes, booth all dis-assembled...Packets made up, And it all loaded into my car....Along with the Technique class I am teaching tomorrow. Steven had tests all week at school...and got out early .....but not today....but I got it ALL in my car....By myself!!!! It is slam full!!!! Now if he gets home in the next hour...we can get MY Digital Studio loaded onto my notebook, so I can play with it this weekend at the Crop. I took another Webinar on doing cards with it....and it is going to be so much fun...if only to use as a design tool!!!! And look out when I figure out how to make my own background and banner for my Blog!!!! WooHoo!!! (Sidenote....Phyllis and Casey...you will be glad to know that that wire catalog stand does fold down...figured that out too!!!!)

I'm a little behind in my posts...I was going to do a drawing for my 1000 hits on the blog on the 15th....but I've been up to my eyeballs putting these classes together (and next week looks the same....at least I won't be working, and can devote time to it.) I had Matt pick...and the winner is ...KIM. You can pick a set next time you are over to the house...and I will get the paper together!!! Congratulations. Have had over 120 more hits since then!!!! Hoping without work( man I could get soooo used to this!!!!) I can get some tutorials on here!!!!

OK...The last of the Convention Swaps!!! Will get last weekends stamp club projects on next ....they were all Fall and you know how I love Fall!!!

Have had a busy week!!!! Thursday and Friday were my Stamper's 10 Hostess Clubs...and we had a blast...here are the projects we did:

These are done using the Black Magic Technique.....we actually did the Upsy Daisy card....the Embrace Life one is done to show how it looks using an open image, usually you use a solid image with this technique. These are gorgeous....glitter never scans well!!!



This one used White Stazon on a window sheet....just a very simple, pretty card!!!! I love the Razzle Dazzle Set!!!!

Yesterday, Steven & I got our Flu Shots....so we have been moving very slow since. Had to work Taco Dinner at Church...and we were very slow.....But it was yummy!!!! Today is my STamping Friends All day stamp....so I am looking forward to that...will post projects and swaps later!!!

Have a very busy week this week, with classes almost every night....so hopefully it will get me thru the week at work....Found out Friday that they are laying me off....business is just too slow. I do get to finish out this next week. I'm very torn.....but I did get an application in Saturday morning. My best dream would be to find a very part time job...that paid my health insurance bill....and then to have my SU business pick up more to a full-time status!!!! Help me out there ladies....tell everyone about SU and ME!!!! Send your friends my blog address!!!!

Last but not least....and we are almost done....some more Convention Swaps!!!

OK...I posted my boxing class yesterday...I will also be doing a class with the 3 fall boxes at the Crop-a-Latte All Day Crop in Black Forest(Community Center) on Saturday September 19. This is going to be a fun event...and a great way to sepend the day stampin' and scrappin' Check out their web page at www.shop.crop-a-latte.com The food sounds exceptionally yummy...I can't wait. Breakfast from Panera Bread, lunch from Macaroni Grill and dinner from Texas Road House. I hope to see some of you there.
