Weather Changes, time to catch up!!!

I was looking back thru some old posts, to see what I needed to catch up on, and realized, just a month ago we had snow...and today it was close to 90 degrees. That's Colorado for you!!!

I have stacks of things to post here...so hopefully I will get caught up over the next week or so!!! Today I'm posting what we did for our May Stamper's 10 Hostess Clubs.

This first one is using a technique I used a few months ago in my Stamping Technique classes. It is just basically doodling in your open stamped spaces!!!! Very simple.

I love this technique...it is Faux Alligator...and we will have to do it for the Technique classes sometime.....makes the cutest purse cards!!!

I was really getting into the purse thing...and so this is one using the Top Note!!!!

And lastly...this cute purse....

With cute little note cards inside.

Lastly, when I was taking these pics off of the camera, came across a pic of 2 of my favorite Princesses...

Good Day!!!

WooHoo...my son got a call today that he has a job...His background check passed at the Air Force Academy!!!! We were worried...we got a call yesterday from our Nephew who is processing out of the Army at Fort Carson...and his background checks kept coming up with outstanding warrents...and then they finally decided it wasn't Mike, but our Matt...He has misplaced(lost) his license so many times...we were afraid that someone was using it.....but his check came back good....WooHoo...someone got a job...not the job he wanted, but it is a paycheck!!!

Thought I would post the rest of the samples I showed at last weeks Stamper's 10 Clubs.

This one is just using the Circle Circus set again....I have fallen in love with this set!!!! We also did this card at my phenominal workshop on Saturday!!!

Then this cute little candy basket....which uses masking with the flowers.....I also used this for my workshop on Saturday, as they wanted to see how to use wheels, so I swapped out some designer paper for a wheel strip.

Here's another traditional masked one....I used the Autumn Harvest set...this set kind of lends itself to masking!!!

And lastly...this one uses a Retiform type of masking.

Here are the 2 projects that we did at last Thursday and Friday's Stampers 10 clubs.

Successful Meeting!!!

Last night was the first meeting of our Etsy Entrepreneurs Group....and we had 14 Etsy Crafters show up...it was a very good meeting!!!! Lots of new ideas...now if I can find time to impliment them....that is the task!!! Met some really great people...Thanks Deb, for putting that together!!!

Thought I would show you my long awaited Stamper's 10 Gift. This was intended to be a Christmas Gift to all of my Stamper 10 gals....but I never got them done...so I was finally able to pass them out this past week. If you weren't there...yours will be in your bag. Each envelope had a Thank you card with the recipients initial and name....

And the gift was a Scissor Fob, with their initials on them...so when they take their scissors with them to classes and crops...they will know which ones are theirs!!!

Projects as Promised, a Tip, and a Sneek Peek

OK....last 2 projects from our Stamp Club Event....These gals make the most fabulous cards!!!!

I haven't shared a Tip in ages....I thought I'd do a Product tip!!! It is the Staz On Cotton White Pad.

When you get this pad, it will be un-inked, but the re-inker is included.....the reason being, Staz On is a sovent based ink, and it dries very fast...it also dries out very fast...hence they ship it uninked...so you don't end up with a dry brand new one. Make doubly sure that you keep the little clear cover under the lid...it helps to keep it moist....and be sure you wash your stamps well with either Stazon Cleaner or Stampin' Mist...as it is a solvent and could damage the rubber if left on.....

And lastly....here are some Sneek Peeks of tomorrows Stamper's 10 projects!!!

If you are interested in joining us for our Stamper's 10...contact me for all of the details...they are a fun group of stampers...we have a blast!!! And learn alot too!!!

A Tip and a Peek!!!!

WE woke to light blowing snow...but if it does this all day...it is gonna amount to alot...it's the kind that sneeks up on you. Finished the projects for next months Stamper's 10 Clubs....so thought I'd wet your whistle, and give you all a Sneek Peek.

One is an excelent technique to use on your Christmas Cards and Holiday Scrapbook pages. The other would meake a cute little gift, or stocking stuffer!!!!

And for our TIP.... I haven't tried it yet...but have seen some projects using this...and it is neat....I know alot of you love the Tattered Angels Shimmering Sprays....well now you can make your own. In an empty fine mist spray bottle, fill about half way with rubbing alcohol and about 1/2 teaspoon of the Shimmery Paint. This is the same method I have used in the past with Pearl Ex paint, to give your card stock a Shimmery Effect. The Champagne Mist is beautiful, and the Frosted White gives darker card stock a silvery glimmer. Shake well, and apply a fine spritz to your cardstock. The card stock will curl, as it always does when you get it wet, so place a book or something heavy on it while it is drying. You can use a heat tool to speed up the drying process. The glitter doesn't rub off after drying, like the Pearl Ex does. I want to play with it and add a few drops of reinkers....I think you should be able to get colors that way. This makes your Shimmer Paints work even harder....You can also dab them onto your stamps and stamp, or dab them direct to paper for a shimmery look. This technique gives a very overall shimmery look!!!!

Dreary Saturday and Sunday

Old Man Winter just really wants to put in an early appearence....it has been so cold, icy and just plain yucky!!!!! A note of brightness this past week were my

We used the big Shot and some punches....so easy but so cute!!!!
The second card also used the Big Shot....Movers and Shapers Dies....and punches......The more we learn to use these dies in different ways....the more bang we get for our money!!!!

Last night Paula and I had our joint downline meeting here at my house.....For the project we did the Black Magic card.....Which I did for this months Stamper 10 Club.

Paula gave us a challenge for our swap....To take a Christmas set and use it in a non-Christmas way....I really had a hard time with this one....but this was what I finally came up with...It uses the ornaments from the tree Trimmings set.

These are Paula's and Karen's....And Joanne couldn't do the challenge but did this beautifal Fall card. Loved them all!!!!

New Day!!!!!

Have had a busy week!!!! Thursday and Friday were my Stamper's 10 Hostess Clubs...and we had a blast...here are the projects we did:

These are done using the Black Magic Technique.....we actually did the Upsy Daisy card....the Embrace Life one is done to show how it looks using an open image, usually you use a solid image with this technique. These are gorgeous....glitter never scans well!!!

This one used White Stazon on a window sheet....just a very simple, pretty card!!!! I love the Razzle Dazzle Set!!!!

Yesterday, Steven & I got our Flu Shots....so we have been moving very slow since. Had to work Taco Dinner at Church...and we were very slow.....But it was yummy!!!! Today is my STamping Friends All day stamp....so I am looking forward to that...will post projects and swaps later!!!

Have a very busy week this week, with classes almost every night....so hopefully it will get me thru the week at work....Found out Friday that they are laying me off....business is just too slow. I do get to finish out this next week. I'm very torn.....but I did get an application in Saturday morning. My best dream would be to find a very part time job...that paid my health insurance bill....and then to have my SU business pick up more to a full-time status!!!! Help me out there ladies....tell everyone about SU and ME!!!! Send your friends my blog address!!!!

Last but not least....and we are almost done....some more Convention Swaps!!!
I just love the Dress Card....I may have to do something with that!!!!

A Dreary Day

It's a grey, dreary day....perfect for stampin'...not for the outdoor activities planned!!!! Gardening was a bit muddy!!!! And I felt bad for the people with booths at the Falcon Festival, and thankful I didn't plan on doing one this year!!!!

Here's the picture of the project that I demoed at our joint downline meeting. It is much cuter in person!!!! I origionally did this for May's Stamper 10 Hostess Clubs....my Friday night group was finishing up a round and I like to do somethig special, and my Thursday nite group was a new group, just starting up, so I wanted to WOW them. I think I accomplished both!!!

If you live in the area...I still have a few openings in my Stamper's 10 Hostess Clubs....Contact me about joining. It is a 10 month committment....with a minimum purchase of $15....but you get to be hostess one of the months....and we do 2 projects each month....with other goodies thrown in...if you miss a nite, you get the project in your order!!! I also have long distance gals....you get the projects...and a paroduct sample, since you can't be here!!!! I am having a blast with both groups.....What a great group of gals!!!!
