Turkey Day

WE had a fabulous Dinner at my Daughter Kris' home....Good Friends, Family, Food and Fun...could you ask for more.....Came home and decided to just putter in my office...and worked some more on Christmas presents for Co-workers...

This was so easy, and they really came out cute. I also finished up my project for Saturdays get together, and my Swap for the day at Kim's...but can't show them to you yet. I promise I will get pics of them before I give them all away!!!

Next I need to get some past mail from my mailbox posted...

Both are birthday cards, I lost in my pile...the first is from Mary Kay...I love her colors, and the second is from Paula Cooper. Belated Thanks guys!!!

Ahhh...vacation....

I love my job....have no problem getting up in the morning and going in....but it sure is nice to have 5 days off!!! Today I've been puttering...something I haven't had the luxury of doing in a while. Started by running into Falcon and doing a couple of errands, then back home for a soup lunch (it's a soup kinda day!!!) I had it set in my mind to work on the Boys rooms...but can only take so much of that at a time...so I work for a while, then come down to my office and do some little task, then back up to tackle the mess upstairs. Why is it when you are swapping out rooms...it always looks way worse before it gets better!!! Anyway...have one bookcase moved and done...and the other is half empty. Cleaned out the heat ducts...they were so full of dust and dead flies...Yuck!!!

Thought I would share a bit more from my pile of past projects....

These are from Rocky Mountain Inkslingers, probably the October meeting....the little Treat Holder was done by Theresa, and the Paris card was a belated b-day card from Linda.

These are from my Halloween Mailbox...the Cat was from Abbey, and the Spider was done by Isabelle. Too much fun!!!

Thought I would share something from my mailbox this past week...

Thanks Sandy, lovely card!!!!

Lazy Saturday...

I have so much to do, and am trying not to stress out...so decided...I would do what I could and the rest would just have to wait for another day...with that attitude...I did amazing things.....Started this morning....decided to put a yummy dinner in the Crock Pot...Chicken with all the fixin's...was it yummy!!! And the house smeslled heavenly all day...Oregano and Rosemary...yumm!!! I also decided, while I was making a collosal mess in the Kitchen to make stuffed cabbage for tomorrow...since I will be gone all day...I will just have to have Steven pop it in the oven...toss a salad together...and we're good!!! After that was all done...Steven came in and said he'd clean up the Kitchen...gotta love them!!! So I went off and tackled some laundry, and a little housework....so now I don't feel like I've neglected it too much....Next I tackled Bills....the much dreaded chore...and I guess cause the house was smelling so domestic...and I was on a roll...it only took a very short time. Next I worked a little on the Booth for the Show up in Denver in 2 weeks....so I no longer feel so behind in that...and can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! So now I'm getting my swap together for tomorrow....will share it later...And hopefully I can throw a project together....Thought I would show a few Birthday cards from August....I just found a stack from Rocky Mountain Inkslingers....

I think these were made by Kim and Cindy!! Love them!!! Will post more later!!!

WooHoo...it's Friday!!!

Hey all....it's Friday!!! I do have a fairly busy weekend...but it's mostly Stamping related. Tomorrow is my Stampin' Free For All...Stop on by and work on some projects...I will have some drawings for some discontinued product, and a cute Make n Take which I just finished up!!!

Sunday is my Cards for the Troops....This will be a Quarterly Event that I do...so I will be collecting cards, card fronts, partial cards, and supplies anytime. I prefer standard sized cards...if you do off sizes, please supply the envelopes to go with them...otherwise the envelopes are covered...Also ...no Glitter...Night Vision can pick up the glitter if it gets on their uniforms. Drop on by Sunday from 1-3 and we will work on prettying them up...I hope to get them off to Operation Write Home next week. These cards are made available to the troops to send home to their loved ones since they can't get things like that there. They are greatly appreciated!!!

When we check in at Convention...they give you a great bag, filled with all kinds of goodies...this is some of what was in mine!!!! Can't show it all as alot of it was Make and Take stuff, which I will be using for classes, clubs and Workshops this year!!!

Playing Catch Up!!!

Wheewww!!!! I think I'm finally seeing the end of all the lists I have made for myself!!!I would have been fine on all I needed to do for the Stamp Show and the following weeks...if I hadn't gotten the call o go to work for the Census Bureau....so the rule of thumb is....plan your life out with no possible spare moments...and something that you have been waiting for will pop up in there!!!! All I have left for next week is to finish up a card and cut paper for that card for Tuesday and Friday's Technique classes....I'm good for the Wednesday Fabric and Big Shot Class. I may have to miss a meeding tomorrow night...it depends on how much I get done tonite....as today is my Stampin' Friends Monthly get together...and I don't miss that...it is my therepy!!!! And I actually got my swaps and project done for that!!!!

Thought I would share a Thank you card Steven and I got from good friends Casey and Chris....

This card is just so soft and crisp and fresh....I love it!!!

More Mailbox!!!

Last of the Easter cards!!!!!

This one was done by my dear fiend...who I saw yesterday at lunch, Sandy Underwood. Thanks Sandy!!!!

And this beautiful card was done by Jenell...I love the embellishment...Thanks Jennell!!!

Lastly...this is one of the Easter cards I made...but did not send...they will be for next year, as I finished them up after I had sent cards out!!!!I have a funny story to share. Steven asked the day before Easter if we were coloring eggs...I haven't colored eggs in years...and told him no since we weren't hiding them for kids, and since he didn't like deviled eggs, I would just boil up a few for egg salad...he was heart broken... Our son Nick loves to make eggs on the mornings he is home from college....and so when he opened up the egg carten on Easter morning...these are what greated him!!!

Nick has a very dry sense of humor...but he really chuckled over this!!!! Good to see him laugh!!! Sometimes my hubby!?!?!

Lost Swap Card....and my Mailbox!!!!

Well...was cleaning out some shelves...and finally came across the lost swap card from last week...

It's one of those cards that the scan doesn't do it justice....the white stamped areas are on window sheet....so they came out really crisp!!! I love the hat pin!!!!

These are from my mailbox, back from Valentines and St. Patricks Day!!!
This one is from my Awesome friend Abbey Larson....I should have scanned it on red paper...it has a black border...very nice, simple card!!!!

This one is from a long distance friend in Illinois, Karen Bricker. She used the Slit Punch border that we did in Stamper's 10 this past year!!!

And lastly, this delightful St Patty's Day card from my dear friend Donna Loughridge.

I want to thank all of you...I love getting the mail!!!!
