More Stamper's 10 Projects, and a Contest Winner

This is the Make n Take that we did at February's Stamper 10 Club. We learned how to make plaids using our brayers....too much fun...this is one of those projects...you can get carried away with!!!

This was another card I did as a sample....little bit bigger piece of plaid.And notice that the Grosgrain ribbon is gathered...you put a slit in one end..and then pull a thread....and it gathers it....to cute!!!

Stamper's 10 projects....

OK...it's already Tuesday...and I haven't posted the projects we did last Thursday and Friday in our Stamper's 10 Hostess Club....Well...this first one is just a simply elegant card using a level 3 hostess set...Kind & Caring Thoughts...touched up with a bit of glitter....I just love this set....wish it weren't a hostess set, as it will be gone in July!!!! We did this as our first Make n Take. So if you want this set....book a workshop now....or come by and you can use it at my monthhly Stampin Free for All(4th Saturday of the month)


This next card is just to show the difference using the Chunky Glitter as opposed to the Ultra Fine Gitter in the first card....very simple but fun card. I used the Sticky Sheets to hold the glitter...it runs thru the Big shot great!!!

Orders and Classes and Quilted Bags....

Just got our Stamper 10 orders all entered into the Computer....It can be confusing with Sale-a-bration!!! I don't want to forget anyones free items!!!! I love FREE!!!!

I also got lots of work done on upcoming classes....the Big Shot Class projects are coming out sooo... Stinkin' Cute!!!! I also have a new class for May...will post that one tomorrow....it also came out way too cute!!!

Here are pictures of the Rag quilt bag I made for my daughter Kris....I thought I had saved pictures of it....but I cleaned up my cmera...and I think I deleated them with old projects....so Kris sent me these pictures....

I've had a few requests....and I have a ton of other fabric projects using the Big Shot....so I'm pondering holding a quarterly Fabric/Big Shot class...if you think that is something that would appeal to you...let me know...and I will see about getting it on the calendar!!! Sewing is minimal on most projects....some use hot glue....Most projects use scrap fabric....

Brayer Class

I finally got the 2 projects put together for our first Brayer Class....Not all projects will be using brayers...most will...but some will be doing sponging, as in the turquoise card. You can sign up for one...or all....there will be some building of technique.....The first in this quarterly series will be held Monday, March 22, at 6:30, with the deadline being 3/15/2010. Cost is $10.00.

The first card shows the brayer resist technique...with some sponging to get depth in the picture....you are actually building a landscape here.

The second project ...and I love these colors....is a lesson in sponging to get depth in your picture, and then highlighting....dark and light. These classes are a great way to grow the artist within you!!! Hope to see you here.

Moving Day

Sorry I don't have any projects to post today...Got up this morning...And Steven decided that today was the day we would move printers and computers...and all that sort of thing....It was a good day to purge all sorts of junk....and my office seems so much bigger....but right now I can't access his computer thru mine to print....so that's a bummer!!!! Now I just need to order the curtain rods from Ikea...so that I can get my punces out of the drawers and up opn the wall where I can see them!!!! I would also love to put in more white cubes...all the way around the room...it would give me so much more storage...and so much more room!!! Maybe some day!!!

Tutorial, and a Christmas Decoration.....

I know...I'm still way behind in catching up on my Christmas, New Years, and now Valentines projects.....There just isn't enough time in the day...and I'm not workin' right now....what gives????

This is a Christmas Banner I did using the Christmas Simply Scrappin' Kit in the current catalog....so much fun...and so easy!!!!

Next I have another tutorial to share.....


This was a quick and easy photo folder. The one I did was for my new Grandaughter, but depending on the Simply Scrappin' Kit you use...you can do them for holidays, or vacation trips...you name it.

To start, you take one of those simple business folders that have just pockets inside. It's hard to find white or manilla....and some of the colors are really bright....I got mine at Office Depot.

Next you want to turn it inside out....so that the pockets are on the outside....use your bone folder to re-crease the spine.

Then take each face, and fold it to the outside center,(the one you just creased) using the bone folder to make your crease.

All of your pockets should now be on the inside...with the outside being a solid cover.
That's it for construction. Next you take one of the Simply Scrappin' Kits...I used Moments and Milestones, since it was for my newborn gransaughter....but dependign on the event you are doing....you have lots of choices....these make it so quick and easy as they have designer paper, coordinating textured paper....and the die cuts are have adhesive on them already....I was having a blast decorating mine.

Oh...almost forgot...finish off with a ribbon to tie it all shut. I did little index cards for each month of her first year...to write milestones down....those go into the folders....so cute.

If anyone is interested in doing this as a class...we can do it where you pre-purchase the kits...and we can each custom do our folders.....let me know if you are interested...and we will get it on the schedule.

Projects as Promised, a Tip, and a Sneek Peek

OK....last 2 projects from our Stamp Club Event....These gals make the most fabulous cards!!!!



I haven't shared a Tip in ages....I thought I'd do a Product tip!!! It is the Staz On Cotton White Pad.

When you get this pad, it will be un-inked, but the re-inker is included.....the reason being, Staz On is a sovent based ink, and it dries very fast...it also dries out very fast...hence they ship it uninked...so you don't end up with a dry brand new one. Make doubly sure that you keep the little clear cover under the lid...it helps to keep it moist....and be sure you wash your stamps well with either Stazon Cleaner or Stampin' Mist...as it is a solvent and could damage the rubber if left on.....
