Short and Sweet....

This is going to be short....I had the opportunity to work for the day today...and also tomorrow subbing for my old co-worker Jennifer at Harmony...and I am wiped out. I was sorta bumbed when Liz told me they had hired someone to work the newly opened Monday's , before she knew I was unemployed....but I do understand....it would have been the perfect job...giving me time to work on my Stampin' Up!!!! Something will come up!!! So...to our contest....I had Matt draw the 3 names....and they are....

Downline Friends

Last night Paula and I had our joint downline meeting here at my house.....For the project we did the Black Magic card.....Which I did for this months Stamper 10 Club.











Paula gave us a challenge for our swap....To take a Christmas set and use it in a non-Christmas way....I really had a hard time with this one....but this was what I finally came up with...It uses the ornaments from the tree Trimmings set.










These are Paula's and Karen's....And Joanne couldn't do the challenge but did this beautifal Fall card. Loved them all!!!!

OK...I have all these great tips...so as I come across them I will share...Don't ya just love the new In-Color Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon...you must since I sold so many of the samplers...Did you know you can make your own!!! All you need is some 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon...which we have 9 colors of....Craft Ink pad in White, Vanilla or Black....and the Polka Dot stamp from Itty Bitty backgrounds.....Voiola....look at how many more possibilities you now have. Play around with the combos...you could even stamp Real Red Craft on White ribbon!!!! Stay tuned for more Tips!!!!

Stampin' Free For All.....

I must have picked a bad day. I did get lots of you that told me you wanted to come...but you had classes and other events already on the calendar for today....so I didn't get any takers....I did get some pages done....I'm trying to use up all of my old, old stuff....so this is a great excuse for me!!!!
This is using a very old Simply Scrappin kit....I mean...when we only did 8 1/2 x 11 format....but I love it, I have a ton of these old kits...most in pieces and parts...because we used them for classes , and I need to get them used up!!!!




This one was using some old stickers...you all know how much I hate the look of stickers...but for some reason, I have a whole folder of them....so I combined them with this football paper...and of course it is all layered with Old Olive Cardstock....to pull it all together!!!!
Can't wait to get to my pictures that are on digital...These are all old, old pics that were in those yucky magnetic albums, and my pictures all had to come out....Yuck!!!! Some of them are really compromised due to the chemicals...so I do need to scan them...and then I can do them digitally!!! Hopefully next week I can get to My Digital Studio and get going with some pages!!!

These are the swap cards I tried to upload yesterday...but Blogger wouldn't let me....Great ideas!!!!

My 2 Grandaughters Sarah and Abbey came over today and we played in my stamp room for most of the day...I wish I had thought to take some pictures. First we made a great loaded homemade Pizza for lunch, then some frosted sugar cookies....then to business...I had to work on my daughter Allison's Baby Shower Invitations...so while Sarah and I cut and pasted and embossed and folded and cut some more (lots of cutting) Abbey made cards with the scraps!!!! Fun, fun, fun day...except my hand hurts from all the cutting. Will post the finished product when I am all finished!!!!
These are the cute treat holders that I did for the project for my Rocky Mountain Inkslingers Club meeting....They were a hit...and they can also be found in the current catalog!!!
OK...I was going to post my swaps from that night also...but Blogger won't let me add anymore pictures so I guess that will have to wait till tomorrow.

OOOPPPSSSS!!! I hit enter after I wrote that...and it published...but I didn't get a chance to write what I wanted...lets see if I can fix it!!!! :)
First...lets finish up the Crop-a-Latte stuff....here are the Make-N-Takes I did....I love the little pumpkin one....I can't take credit.. My friend Paula designed these for our booth this spring...I just changed the colors....they were quick and easy!!!!
This was my swap last night at Rocky Mountain Inkslingers...the theme was to use punches or die cuts. I just love Miss Bella Bear....she makes the cutest Halloween Witch!!!! I will get the Projects I did, and the swaps I got, on tomorrow.!!!! Get those posts posted if you want a chance at my contest!!!
