Very productive day. Got the house up and running early...then I had the rest of the day to work in my Studio, since I didn't have to go anywhere!... Finished up a project for an event I'm going to later on in the month...will post it after the event. Just need to gather up the supplies!!!! Got started on a class for next month...a variation on my flower bucket that some of you have been eyeing in my studio. And started on a card I'm going to do as a tutorial on here. I have just way too many ideas...and not enough time to do workshops and classes.....so will start to put them up here as tutorials. Remember...you can always pick something on here and I can do it for a workshop for you and your friends!!!!

Can't really post without a picture to show you all. This is just too cute. Another one of the projects that Cindy had us do at Inkslingers last month. Some one is just gonna have to have a Bridal Shower or a Ladies Luncheon.....I can think of all kinds of ideas with this!!!!

St. Patrick's Day Cards

My Card Stash is located at the bottom of the stairs, just before you go into my Studio. Been walking by it this past few weeks, thinking...looks like I have a pretty good pile of St. Patty's Day cards. Today I decided to go thru them to see what I could use, since I want to get them out this coming weekend. OOOPPPSSS!!! I misfiled a stash of Valentines cards in the wrong folder, and only had a few St. Patty's Day cards....then on top of that...the ONLY St. Patty's Day stamp I had was a word stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes...not good. My MoJo has been slowly coming back...but most cards I have been doing are a hybrid case from other cards. Long story short...this is what I came up with.

Soo... when faced with this dilemma...keep it simple. Since I had no stamps, go with a color theme..ie:All Green. Not too bad.

Relaxing Sunday

I hadn't realized how stressed I had become....until I had such a nice relaxing day like today!!!! Started with a Pancake B-fast at church. Came home, made a pizza for lunch, then played in my studio the rest of the day!!!! Finished up the little dog coat I was making for Chewey....but have decided to put it on my Etsey Shop.

He's such a handsome little guy!!!! But he hates to have his picture taken!!! Too funny. I only have a few things on my shop right now...but you can check it out HERE.Here is a picture of one of the projects we did this last month at Inkslingers. Cindy was our teacher for the night....she did a great job...great projets.

Frustrating Day

Did you ever just have one of those days....I've spent the whole day batteling with my computer.....everything I did...it stuck up it's hand and said...no, no, no!!!! Very frustrating!!!! But I think I have it all straight now....so will end with a positive and a Blog post!!!!

Oh, this came out so Stinkin' Cute!!!! I will be doing Decorative Edges to your Ribbon for next months Stampers' 10, and this is one of the samples.

Babysat our youngest grandaughters last nite...only had one small melt down, and the 2 year old helped calm the 1 year old. They were so cute, everyone was laughing and giggling by the end of the night. They were trying on Fire hats.

Chewy on the other hand was worn out!!!! Poor puppy.

I had a huge stack of cards, and thought I had put my Inkslinger swaps and projects on the bottom...and the pile...jumped off of the counter...and there were cards everywhere...Went thru them, and for the life of me couldn't remember which ones were the Inkslinger cards....I wanted to post them here....but after going back thru my bag...guess what ...I found them. Here are 2 of the swaps I got...sorry, not sure who did them, but great cards!!! Will post more tomorrow!!!

Just got asked to babysit my 2 youngest grandbabies....Couldn't do that when I was working crazy!!!! May take a nap shortly....not as young as I used to be.

Hello ladies.....I think I can now say ...I'm back!!! I apologize for the months I've been gone...lots happened....but I think we are getting it all back together...and the goal is to post at least once a week, more if I can!!!! So please check back weekly, I will get this going more, and hopefully start posting contests again!!! Now that I am not working, the goal is to do Stampin' Up! full-time again. In order to do that, I need to have as many of you book a workshop, or order, or attend a class(in the works) as possible.

Well, we can't have a blog post without a picture, so here is a peek at the card I did for my swap at Rocky Mountain Inkslingers this month. The theme was "anything red".

I know....I know...you probably all think I fell off the face of the earth...we have been going thru some family difficulties, and right now, I just can't Blog....my MOJO is also seriously hurting, although it has gotten better....I will shoot for getting back to posting in January, after the holidays. Goodness, I am sorry for not posting in a long, long while...it has been a busy time here at the Waskewicz household!!!! We have a new addition to our family....For a while now, I've been wanting a small lap dog. Steven has Rusty...but he is sooooo.....BIG!!!! I love Yorkies, but they can be very high strung( I wanted a Calm lap dog!!!). Steven was on Craigs List and happened to come across a Maltese Yorkie mix....so we went and looked at him. What a charmer. The young man who owned him, was moving out of the state on a Family emergency, and couldn't bring him with him. So we snatched him up. That is how Chewey came to live with us. (Chewbaca is his given name...but he is so tiny....more like a Wookie then an Ewok!!!) The Maltese has tempered him, but he looks like a Yorkie....When we got him, he had never been cut and his fur was so matted.

We have since had him groomed, it took the poor woman 5 hours to do him....but she was so patient and kind with him...I highly recommend Puppy Dog Tails Groomers. He looks double his size here with all the fur.

And here he is clipped...he hates to have his picture taken, and wouldn't stand up or look at the camera
So this is why, I've been missing. I did have my Open House last Weekend, and my downline meeting wiht Karen today...will post about those later along with some samples!!!!

Hello all of you fabulous Stamper's. I know it has been a long time since I have posted....Been to Convention...and back. It was a super blast, as always!!! I always learn so much and am bursting with things I want to share with you all!!!! Classes will be coming up as I get them put together, so keep watching. And here is a fun card that we did for last months Stamper's 10, I loved it so much I used it for my swap at Convention. It is a Digital Hybrid Card. The designer paper is no longer available to buy, but you can print it out from My Digital Studio, along with the Frog image. Add some ribbon and dimensional, regular card stock and you have a great card!!!

Hello All....Summer is here....it is HOT!!! But still cooling down nicely at night, so tolerable. Today was a Stampin' Day...went to Dee's house and stamped with great ladies!!! Will show the cards later....right now, these are some cards that Phylis's and I did last weekend.

Then, Inkslingers met on Wednesday, and Sue had these as our projects...Great projects Sue!!!!
These were using the Resist Technique!!!!

And these were making your card front and THEN running it thru your embossing folder!!!!

Hello everyone....has it been another week...fortunatly, I get more caught up each week....that is a good thing!!!!

Thought I would post the projects that we did at this month's Stamper's 10.

This month we did cards using My Digital Studio...so much fun, so easy, and so many more images to play with. The first card with the Froggy, was to show that you have tons of background papers that you can print out. Along with the Frog...an image we have digitally but not as a stamp image!!! I like doing cards that are hybrids, using digital, and then embellishing them with ribbon, brads, dimensionals, etc. But I plan on doing cards for work this Christmas that are totally digital...the time saved will be priceless!!!! And those, since they are for work, I will have the SU professionals print them up!!!!

The second card showed that many of the paper images that are availabl as downloads,are papers that have been discontinued...I loved the Bella Rose papers...and now I can still get them!!! Woo Hoo!!! Also we played with the new triple punches...so cool!!!!

And lastly, here are a few more get well cards out of my mailbox. I'm healing nicely...the bandages are all off, and the bruising is finally gone, this one should scar very minimally, but I have a huge band of scar tissue under the skin. What I had from the last one, seemed to go away with time...so I'm hoping this will also,... there is really alot with this one....It will make getting my next mamogram interesting!!!

Hello Ladies...and Gents...for those of you that check in.....Was another Smokey, Windy week....everyone has respiratory distress until these fires in New Mexico go out....it's a mess!!! Couldn't walk all week....made me crabby....made for a long day at work too!!! Am finally feeling like I'm getting caught up!!! WooHoo, may get cards made for Convention.

Sorry I'm so delinquent.....upgrading my computer...has been a whole new learning experience...I hadn't planned on...and Steven wants to upgrade my disks, when I go to Convention....I'm not so sure about all of that!!! But I think we have most of this under control now....still learning my editing program...so things may look a bit funky for a while...and I still have tons to download for My Digital Studio, before we are back to where we were...but we are getting there...so lets try and put some pictures on here as a test!!!!

Sorry I've been missing for a while...Steven decided to switch my computer over to Windows 2007, and we discovered that alot of my lot stuff is not supported by 2007....so I have been slowly rebuilding everything, not to mention ALL of My Digital Studio downloads had to be redone...100's!!!! Ugh!!!! I'm still working on my photo editing program, so hopefully I will be able to start loading scans and pictures on here shortly. and in there, I had my second surgery...actually today, it went well, but I'm in more pain then last one...so I think the recovery will be a bit slower.....But I'm still kickin'...so if I'm not on here much, that is why!!!

Golden Show

Got to work this morning...and the place was black as the ace of spades....power was out...and they had to call up to Denver to get someone out to unlock the doors for the breaker box....Now how smart is that...so we all sat around for 2 hours, as we all needed computers....not good...but the rest of the day flew by!!!

Getting things together for the Show up in Denver this weekend....I leave for Golden on Thursday, and Nick comes home from school in Golden, for the Summer....on Thursday...so we will be passing each other....He starts his Internship at United Memories on Monday...First paying Engineering job!!! WooHoo!!!

Fire and Wind

This Mother's Day certainly didn't turn out quite like I had planned. We were getting ready to leave for lunch, Steven was taking me out.....and when he opened the garage door....shouted...I smell smoke. I came running out...and the whole hill, across the road had errupted in flames......We watched in horror as it raced down the hill...then kicked into gear and ran for hoses, set the sprinklers on that side of the house to stay on....and then had to just watch....Took the fire departments forever to get here....They called in Falcon, Black Forest and Ellicott....Fortunatly it didn't jump the creek bed, but if it had...the people across the street would have lost it all, and we were next. They had already moved their horses out. Way too close for me!!! The whole side of the hill is black, lots of trees gone....it will green up nice this summer if we ever get any rain.

And how it looks now....

Road up to the top of the hill after lunch...and it came within 10 feet of a house up there. Yikes!!!!

Needless to say, we were late getting into town, and waited a while to get dinner...went to Red Lobster as I was craving shrimp. Yummmm!!!!

Bittersweet day...it would have been my Dad's Birthday...I really had to smile...he sent me a penny.....found it in the driveway when we went for a walk earlier today( if you've been to our property, we have a copper stoned gravel driveway, so to see a penny on it is amazing to start)....he was smiling down on us!!! Long story...but ever since he died...I have been finding pennies....I mean hundreds and hundreds of pennies....we always used to pick them up when I was a kid...and he'd say they were from the Angels..... So thanks Dad...for the Mother's Day Gift!!!

It's Mother's Day Weekend...I hope all of you Mom's out there are being pampered. I did a few things around the house, and have been pretty much playing in my studio....love it!!! Plan on going out to lunch tomorrow....Then working on my booth for the Big Stamp Show next weekend....

This has been a long week, but I have a feeling next week will be even longer....OH MY!!! The Stamp Show is ip in Golden on the 13 and 14....hope to see you there...check out my booth!!!

With that said...this will be a quick post...here are the cards that we did at this past months Stamper 10...

The Pink Elephant card was re-teaching everyone how to use the Stamp Positioner...we forget if we don't use it and it is a great tool. The other one was using the Embossing folders and the brayer...this makes beautiful cards....Can't wait to use the new folder that is in the Summer Mini!!!

These are some things that were in my goodie box....the purse was a fun project...and the Tag was from a swap!!!

Wheeeh...this has been a long week, and it's only Wednesday!!!!

Busy at work. We had 12 dignitaries visit us, and so we put on the show for them, with presentations and meals. Lots and lots of food....They will be here tomorrow also...so I'm sure I will be on very slow motion by then...but it was fun!!! Started with breakfast of Coffee and Juice, Rolls, and Kolatchies, Yogurt and Fruit Salad...Yum. Then a mid morning protein snack of Nuts and Cheese. Lunch was from Carino's....so yummy, Lasagne, Bowtie Pasta, Meatballs, Lemon Chicken, with Pasta and Green Beans, Grilled Chicken, Garlic Bread, Salad, Tea and Lemonade. Needless to say there were lots of dishes. Then we had a mid afternoon dessert...Vanilla Coconut Cake, Carrot Cake, a Berry Cake, with Lemon Icing, and Fruit, and an Ice Cream Bar. Yum!!!! All I could manage when I got home was a salad!!!!

Made it thru my surgery this morning...they only did the one shoulder, so will have to go back to have the other side done in a few weeks....So far so good, except I'm in slow motion, so will post this and then go crash. Here's some more goodies...

Lazy Sunday!!!!

OK...I'm not having a good computer day...just did the whole post, and went to add the last pic...and the whole thing went blank...lets do that again. It was a lazy day...Steven still has his cold, so we decided to lay low...since the weather is icky!!! Very cold and flurries on and off. Nick headed back to school, and we won't see him till after finals....Managed to get some laundry and cleaning done, paid some bills, then took a well deserved nap....Made a yummy Mushroom Beef Soup, with Garlic Bread and an Orange Spinach Salad....YUM< YUM< YUM!!!!

I am so sorry I haven't been posting...life has just been hectic....what can I say. I will TRY to do better....

Woke to Steven coming down with a cold....please .... don't give it to me, I have a very busy week. Did have a fun day at Donna's stamping....will get those cards posted later!!! I have such a back log of cards to post...will try and just do some cards this week!!! Monday I have to go in for some minor surgery, and then we have a busy day at work this week with lots of dignitaries coming in....so as you you can see...I can't get sick!!!

LOVE< LOVE< LOVE this card...also gave one to my boss, she went on a trip to DC, but missed the Cherry Blossoms, and this I thought would remind her of them. Internet Woes!!!

Spent Saturday evening, and all day Sunday trying to get my Computer to work right after I switched over from MSN to Outlook.....What a mess, but I persevered!!!! There just never seems to be enough time in the weekend to get it all done!!!

Today I'm showing you what we did at our Stamper's 10 this month...

The pink card was showing everyone how to use the Stamp Positioner...we all need a reminder on that one once in a while, but is is such a useful took once you get the hang of it...so get your's out and use it!
The Blue card was brayering and the embossing folders...love the look!!!

Then I thought you'd like to see the card I did for our swap on Saturday....the theme was spring...so I've been wanting to do this card for a while!!!

Windy, Weekend

Another windy weekend...what's new....It throws my arthritis for a loop....all I could do today was sleep...but the headache is gone, and I'm feeling better now. Had planned on gettigng so much done today...so much for plans. Matt's car bit the dust on Friday...so have been worrying over what he is going to do for a vehicle. He needs a new engine, and can't afford it, and he still owes on the car....so right now ...no car till he can figure out how to pay for it all...I can't help him this time. Anyone want to buy a very used 2002 Nissan Altama...He's asking whatever is left on the loan...

Leisurly Saturday.....

Today has been one of those rare leisurly days....WE got up late, and Steven made us wonderful omlettes....puttered around the house and got a few unfinished chores done, then made pizza for lunch...yum!!! Worked on bills, which I usually hate doing, because I'm usually rushed...but today was great...then I did some reading, and finally looked at my watch, and was surprised that it was 5:00....made some Chicken Chow Mein for dinner...another yumm!!!! So now, I'm working on the finishing up of my Stamper 10 class for next Friday.... Here are some cards out of my box of tricks!!!

This first one is my swap at last months stamp group....I forget what the theme was...I think it was just Spring...I wanted to use the big rick-rack die!!!

This next card is out of my goodie box, and I'm not sure what swap it was from nor who did it...but it was springy looking...and today was such a beautiful Spring day...I had to post it!!!

Restful Weekend

Thankfully, I had nothing pressing this weekend....so lots of naps, and getting caught up on things...Highlight was celebrating our Grandaughter Abbey's 11th birthday!!! They grow up too fast. It was fun...All the grand daughters were there...and we had all the way from 15, down to 4 months....with Emma just learning to walk...so she was fun to watch. She has also learned to whistle.....and so she was toodling around whistling....too much fun!!!

Hoping to get caught up on class and club projects this week!!!! Have one club project half done...it's coming out cute, if I must say so myself!!!! Here are the St. Patty's Day treats I handed out....

A very productive weekend...

I feel like I may be getting caught up...if you ever do!!! I actually got to sleep in till 7:00 on Saturday...something that hasn't happened in eons!!! Got all kinds of stuff done on Saturday, and today was our stamping get together....at Phylis' house...a great time was had as usual!!! Here are the projects we did for our last Techniqque Tuesday Class.

Crazy Weather

It started off with the promise of sun and warm breezes...and then the front came thru and it turned Grey, and Cold and Windy!!!! Yuck!!!! Will be glad when summer is finally here!!!

It was very quiet at work as my bosses are in California....too quiet for me...makes for a very long day...I'd rather it be hoppin' busy....makes the day go quickly!!!

Have been toying with some changes in my Stampin' Up! business...not big ones, but more streamlined...and hopefully more fun!!!

Workshops....I will always do....I love meeting new stampers...and teaching my old crew!!! Will be stepping up the projects a bit!!! My Stamper's 10 will continue....I love you guys....I will be changing my format a bit...we did some of that last month...and stepping up that content also!!! This round will be starting over in May...and I do have some openings...so if you think this may be for you...we would love to have you join us!!! My Technique Tuesday class, I am going to discontinue...we are down to just one and I can't contiue like that...sorry Marian....but I will be putting more Technique Content in my Stamper's 10...and then I am stepping up my actual Classes....I have way too many ideas...and want to get them out there!!! I was so proud of myself, being all ready...and then everyone got here and I couldn't find the box with my stamps and punches for the project...fortunatly I had my papers, so we improvised!!! Naturally as soon as everyone left, the box surfaced!!!

What is it with Daylight Savings Time.....I had a fantastic meeting with my downline today, but after it was over...I was like a cat, found a sunny spot in the living room, curled up and took a nap.....it felt soo....good. Everyone in the house was sleeping....the time change affect seems to get worse as I get older.

Thought I'd share something else I've been working on....here is a bracelet I just finished making.

Not sure who it will go to, but tying to get caught up on Birthday and Christmas gifts!!!

Yesterday was my day off....haven't had one in a while....it was so good....along with some appointments...I planned to get a bunch of errands run. But you know how that goes. We started off the day by having to take Matt to work as his car is in the shop. Then we planned a yummy b-fast at Adam's Mountain Cafe....yum...yum...yum....was it good. Steven had an Orange French Toast with Sunflower Seed Bread, and real Maple Syrup. I had the Daily Omlette, which had Chutney, tomatoes, Goats Cheese and Cream cheese. We split our meals so we could enjoy it all. The bad thing was I had all these things planned to do after...and Steven forgot his medicine, so we had to rush home before we could head out...which ate up the whole morning. Did get some shopping in...got a cute sweater while at Sam's, and then had a 30% off coupon for Kohl's...so had to use that....had gotten a cute jacket last time I had a coupon...so got some slacks and a top to go with it. Then had to go get Matt from work...so again , there was 2 hours eaten up there. Got home to messages from both accoutants....needing things for taxes....which took another hour to track down....I did get this cross stitch for Abbey's B-day finished....I had wanted it done for Christmas...but just ran out of time....

I did get all of my projects and classes put together for the next 2 weeks, and got all set up for tomorrow nite Stamper's 10...so I feel good...now i'm off to make candy treats for St' Patty's Day for work....

Kicked Butt today and got everything done I had on my list to do, AND....even got a short nap in there....Love it when I do that!!! All I have left that MUST be done this weekend is to tally up my #'s for taxes, which we will have done on Monday!!!! I ALWAYS feel better when that is all behind me!!!

I am soooo....glad it is behind me....I had something every night...so I left the house at 7:15 every day, and didn't get home till 9-9:30....so I didn't get much stampin' done...I apologise for not posting....hopefully next week I will be able to budget my time better!!!

We had beautiful, Spring like weather all last week, and now it is freezing out....had Thunder Snow last night...which in turn sparked alot of grass fires....everything was out at my daughters house in Ellicott. Scarey time!!! I'd love the Spring weather to come back...but I'm sure that was just a teaser!!!

The Blue card was from a Make-n-Take from Leadership...doing the vintage look....I am so challenged with this....so I need to step out of my box!!! The pink card was one a cased from a sample using the ice cream cone set from this summer....but cupcakes are so "in" now....thought I'd try that!!!

Busy at work,, busy at home....Last night was my Technique Tuesday Class....if you have a free 3rd Tuesday of the month...you should join us...we learn a new technique each month, and there is only a material cost of $2.00. Such a deal. We learn our technique while making a page for a book you will be compiling, and then we have a project of some type using that technique!!!

Tonight I was a Dunce....I ran all morning from one appointment to another....then worked for 4 hours...and for some reason, thought I had Rocky Mountain Inkslingers tonite...so grabbed a sub, and sat int he parking lot there reading till time to start...and the building remained dark, well past the time we should have started...and it dawned on me this was the 3rd Wednesday, not the 4th....so I'm back at home trying to get some things caught up...Oh well, I have my swap done!!!

I'm so proud of myself.....I took on a little too many things this month....but vowed to stay calm, and just work thru them all...On top of all of that, my job went full-time this week!!! That is a very good thing....and I love my job....but I started to panic...then said..."triage"....list what needs to get done in order of importance...what gets done gets done...and you would be amazed at what I am getting done. Was a little late getting home from work, due to the snow....will this snow and freezing weather ever stop!!! But, I managed to cut up all the paper for my Stamper's 10 classes this week, and get the supplies all boxed up. Started the downloads for My Digital Studio, so that I can work on that at the Crop this weekend...they are taking longer then I thought...One is a 2 and half hour down load!!!! Got supplies all boxed up for the 2 classes I'm teaching at the Crop...fortunatly the paper was done a long time ago!!!! Now i just need to take all the stuff for the Crop upstairs...and set up for Friday...and then I can start cutting for Tuesdays class!!! I think I may make it!!!!

Well I thought I was gonna download pictures for you all, but guess the 2 and half hour download won't let me do an additional download...so will get those to you tomorrow!!!

Boy...this brutal weather is causing all kinds of problems....too friends with burst pipes, Matt's car had to be towed in on Thursday...but fortunatly it wasn't too serious, and now the furnace is making....not so nice noises....Fortunatly Steven went to school for all of this...and says it is a bearing in the pump motor....so guess he will be replacing the pump on Monday.

Woke to snow this morning...so left for work 15 minutes early...that always seems to mess me up....but it was a good day at work!!! I'm OFFICIALLY Full-Time as of Monday!!! WooHoo!!! An answer to prayers. Will also get more vacation days!!!

Here are some more cards...these were what we did at this months Stamper 10....

The tall one is coloring direct to stamp with markers or Watercolor crayons and then spritzing it with water to create a watercolor look. The little one was showing the Kissing technique....come to my Stamper's 10 or Technique class to learn these and more fun techniques!!!

Stampin' Surprize

Our first night at Leadership, we had a Stampin' Play Date.....Each table of 10 was given a box of supplies....we had the most miss matched, box of supplies!!! We each had to create and make a card for the Robnald McDonald Charities, and then we had to collectively, make a card for a contest they were having...what do you do when you have all un-coordinating colors, and a not very popular stamp set.....They announced the winner the next day...and guess what...Our table won out of 1000 people!!! They gave us the Take a Spin set!!! Woo Hoo!!! I took a picture of the card...but can't seem to find it. They gave us the set all tied up in a pink bow with a cute tag made on My Digital Studio!!!!

Out of my box of goodies...here is a card we did for one of the Big Shot Classes...using Aluminum cans...they make such neat embellishments!!!

Did I say BRRR!!! It is very cold here in Colorado...was -16 when I got up this AM....Fortunatly today is my day off...we couldn't get the office warm yesterday!!!! Poor Matt's car wouldn't start....Steven has replaced the battery, attached our little oil pan heater to it...and no luck...so I guess we will tow it tomorrow. The joy of cars!!!

It's 2 degrees out right now...and gonna get colder....BBBRRRR!!!!! Thought I would show you some of the Make-n-Takes we did at Leadership...can't show them all as I am using some for classes...well all eventually...but emminet classes!!!

The large CD case, is for a notebook case and we will be doing that sometime at our Stamper's 10. The pin was gorgeous...mines a little worn...I wore it the whole trip...lost it twice, but it came back to me!!! We also did the Simply Adorned necklace with 3 inserts...will be doing that as a class so stay tuned...they make great gifts!!!

They kept us in classes most of leadership...The first one I took was for My Digital Studio....I have the program loaded on my netbook...but forgot to upgrade it and put all of my downloads onto it..And Sarah...Shelli's daughter, who taught the class went way too fast...so after getting hopelessly behind...I gave up and just watched,.....So my card I did was very simple...here it is...I plan on dong Digital for the Crop I am doing up in Denver on Feb. 12, I'm gonna set up my Netbook, attach it to a monitor, and just scrapbook all day....

New Class

Haven't had any classes on the books for a while...have the itch to really get into teaching again...so here goes!!! First one is a class that we had scheduled this summer, but, everyone's schedules got too crazy, including mine!!! So hear goes again!!!

It is an album class...the first album is a folded folder, using Simply Scrappin' elements. The second is a folded mini album...too cute. The class will be held on
Saturday, February 19, at 10:00, at my home. Cost is $15, and includes all product!!! I'd love to see you here!!!

Thought I would post some of the goodies we made and recieved at Leadership. To start...got there Early (7:30) Wednesday morning to pick up our bags...and this is what we got!!!

Well...the bag was the gift...it was our Conferecne bag with all our goodies and things in it....The wallet I had the opportunity to purchase at the Momento Mall that night along with a relly cute scarf and a sweater!!!

Oh...the flower on the front of the bag was my pillow gift from my roomate Sharon...thanks Sharon!!!

While we were at the Gaylord....one of the shops had the biggest collection of Vera Bradley Bags...and we found one the same shape as ours....just this is our fabric...and it was priced at $72.00....whoa!!!! I need to run and get some Scotch Guard so I don't dirty this one up!!!

Hey everyone....I'm back from my Leadership Trip to Nashville.....what a fantastic trip ( and no lost luggage!!!) I hate the day back from a trip...there is just too much to do...but I got most things on my list checked off....Will be talking more about Leadership and the trip, and posting pictures, over the next few days....thought I would start with the gift I brought for my roomates....

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon at Abbey's basketball game...they had such a good game, winning 22 to 2!!! Very action packed. Then to Kris' house for dinner...and the snow started really coming down....I was sure we would have a snow day today....but it didn't look too bad when I got up...but the news was spewing gloom and doom...so I waited for the plow before heading out....was only 1/2 hour late....and it wasn't bad!!!

Was all set to wear a really cute outfit that I've been painstakingly purchasing a piece a week, when I got a text from my boss, to wear old clothes as we would be cleaning, and up and down from the basement all day...so the outfit must wait for tomorrow....Because of all of that...I am pooped...so here is a quick card from projects we did last month in Stamp Club!!!

Today was a fun day at work...Nick came by to meet my bosses...and fell in love with the place....they said they would consider him for an internship this summer!!! He needs to put together a resume for them....Steven said all he talked about was that this afternoon....So today was bring your son to work day...even though he is 25!!! I know he won't make much $$$ there but I also know they will be great teachers...they have that in their hearts!!!

Today, it finally started to warm up...good thing...Matt got a flat going out on New Year's Eve...so was calling into work to let them know he would be late...only to be called back 5 minutes later...they decided to close the restaurant...the weather was so bad....so he changed the tire, and went to his girlfriends....which was closer then home. Then yesterday, on the way home...he gets a second flat...Steven thinks the spare was underinflated...and the tires were bad...so it caused it to just blow.....So today was spent taking tires off, taking them into the store, then putting tires back on...thankfully the bitter cold was not there...nor the wind!!!! And now I feel better about him having good tires on the car....my checkbook is not liking it.

As promised...here is this weeks post....first, I needed a Guy card...so this was quick.

Most of you know I'm not a big fan of coloring...so this is a good card for me!!!
Next...I pulled these out of my pile...they were from a past swap!!!

New Years Resolution!!!

WELL.....it is actually snowing out....we didn't get a white Christmas....but will definatly have a white New Years Eve!!! Started just as we were leaving for my eye Doctors appointment...thought we were gonna have to turn around...but made it, and it actually had let up on the way home...but should continue all nite...it is so pretty. Was glad I had put a pot of Chicken soup on the stove to simmer for dinner!! That and muffins...yum!!!

I have been in a quandry over not being able to blog on here like I did before I took my job. There just is not enough hours in the day....and so, I have made a New Years resolution....that I will TRY to blog at least once a week....preferabley on the weekend...and more if I can get it in, but I am going to stop beating myself up over not posting. I know you all understand...but I want to have time to put together classes...and there are only so many hours in the day!!! With taht said...here are some cards I got....in my Christmas Mailbox!!!

It's just been way crazy with work, and all the Christmas preparations...but I really got caught up today. I'd like to say, I'm totally done shopping....thought I had finished this morning, with gifts and food for meals...but got home and realized that I still needed ONE more thing!!!! So, I have to go to a funeral tomorrow morning, and will swing by the shops after that. Steven gave me a huge surprize and actually finished the trim on the Laundry Room doors, so now I need to get paint for the door. It looks SOOO......good, very rich and elegant...will take a picture when I get the door painted!!! He's out in his shop working on the shelves for above the washer and dryer...WOOHOO!!!! So I aplogize for not getting things posted....here are the projects we did last week at Stamper's 10. This was a little folder made out of one of the rectangular envelopes, that held some little thank you notes...too cute!!!! Right now I am in love with the color combo of yellow and black....so this is a project I came up with.
If you like spy movies...we rented Salt last night...and it was very good!!! Lots of twists!!!!

Sorry I have been so missing in action.....My company Christmas Party was last nite...and I was in charge of it...and so I have been very busy...things should return to normal soon!!! The party was beautiful...came off with no hitches...We had it at the Cliff House. Food was fabulous. The place was fabulous....although I want to try and schedule earlier next year so we can get a room with a fireplace...was the only touch missing!!! I won one of the Door Prizes...a Belgian Waffle Maker....guess what we had for b-fast...Yumm!!!! Will put pictures as soon as they get back from the photographer!!!

Here is the Swap Gift Card Holder I did for our party today...as promised...

She came out really cute...the picture does not do her justice....she is attached to the cutest little suitcase....I need to make another one...this was a great idea Kim!!!(Kim hosted the event, and came up with the gift card exchange!!! I got a cute card and gift card holder form Sandy...will post it later!!!

Haven't done a tip in ages...so thought I would do one!!!

Look closely at the corner punched photo holders...we do not carry a punch like that...this is how I made it....

Punch one of the 5 Petal Flowers out....

Next, take your square Punch, and align it up from 2 points..and punch...a perfect v-shaped photo corner!!!

Well, I'm sure everyone is busy with Christmas....it was only Phyllis and myself...Here today working on the cards...not sure how many cards we got done...I will count when I stamp the backs....but we did have fun!!!!

These were from our Stampin' Friends last month that we did at Donna's....we obviously did Christmas....will post more later....tomorrow is our get together for December...and I will post our gift exchange....we are doing a gift card holder with a gift card....too much fun!!!

Yesterday was our big Children's Christmas Party at work....it really came off great...the kids were so excited with Santa!!!! What a great way to get into the HOliday spirit!!!

You just have to have one of those once in a while....We went to Church first thing this morning...then home, where I puttered around again, then I actually took a nap...haven't done that in ages.....it was so nice. Thought I would share some more with all of you.

Our theme for projects yesterday was Christmas and Winter...and this was my contribution. I love doing Big Shot snowflakes!!! Then out of my pile of past goodies....

The Soft Suede card was one of our Technique classes, I think it was October's.....we used the Smooch spray, and the specialty designer paper that does a resist pattern....
The Little Owl card is using the new Owl Punch...he was one of the projects for my October Stamper's 10. I just love him!!!

Today is just another puttering around day, working in my office, and working on the boys rooms....that is, if Matt ever gets up....most of what I need to do is in there.

Turkey Day

WE had a fabulous Dinner at my Daughter Kris' home....Good Friends, Family, Food and Fun...could you ask for more.....Came home and decided to just putter in my office...and worked some more on Christmas presents for Co-workers...

This was so easy, and they really came out cute. I also finished up my project for Saturdays get together, and my Swap for the day at Kim's...but can't show them to you yet. I promise I will get pics of them before I give them all away!!!

Next I need to get some past mail from my mailbox posted...

Both are birthday cards, I lost in my pile...the first is from Mary Kay...I love her colors, and the second is from Paula Cooper. Belated Thanks guys!!!

Ahhh...vacation....

I love my job....have no problem getting up in the morning and going in....but it sure is nice to have 5 days off!!! Today I've been puttering...something I haven't had the luxury of doing in a while. Started by running into Falcon and doing a couple of errands, then back home for a soup lunch (it's a soup kinda day!!!) I had it set in my mind to work on the Boys rooms...but can only take so much of that at a time...so I work for a while, then come down to my office and do some little task, then back up to tackle the mess upstairs. Why is it when you are swapping out rooms...it always looks way worse before it gets better!!! Anyway...have one bookcase moved and done...and the other is half empty. Cleaned out the heat ducts...they were so full of dust and dead flies...Yuck!!!

Hello all....I finally feel as if I'm catching up!!! Will surely do so this next week!!! Such a good feeling!!!

Friday was a fun day at work as I set up Christmas trees and decorations....will finish up on Monday and Tuesday along with getting Children Christmas party and Company Dinner gifts all wrapped. At home I'm about done all the gifts that need to be mailed, on to the kids here at home!!!

Today was my day off, for this week...and while a just love my job....I also love to indulge on days off!!! Slept in late this morning, took my time getting dressed and the house picked up, then went to do a few quick errands, and now, I'm back in my office, splitting between working and playing!!! Thought I'd get a few more things posted before my pile gets too high!!!

This first one was in my mail box...a Birthday card from Nancy....Love the flowers!!!

These 2 were from a swap I did with my Stampin' Friends group....I think at Isabelle's house...we did Thank You's...and not sure who did them...but wonderful fall colors!!! Well, I'm off to work on some future classes, adn to close out a workshop and get some orders in!!! RMI meets tonite, so need to get my "stuff" together for that!!

It was a busy weekend with a Craft Fair, but I got it all done!!! WooHoo!!! Classes for next week are all put together, and I may even get the invitations for work done!!!

Tuesday night is my Technique Tuesday Class, and we will be doing Faux Cracked Glass....here is the card we will be doing!!!

Boy, it seems like since forever since I posted...I do apologise....life has been crazy. First there was the show, then I worked a 40 hour week this past week, haven't done that in a while....so I need to learn how to re adjust my time!!!

Today was my day off...and it started out cold and blustery and raw.....but I spent the day with some great people, we went to a Scottish Tea at Montague's, downtown....yummy!!! Then off to Van Briggle pottery for some shopping and a tour. Fun!!!

So now I'm, back home and catching up!!!

I have a stack of cards on my desk waiting to be posted on here....and so I will just start posting...they are in no particular order, no rhyme or reason...and hopefully I can remember what they were from!!!

This first one was one of the projects we did at a workshop last month....it uses the Poppin' Pastels technique. While my group loved the technique, they weren't too crazy about using the darker colors...and I must say I agree with them, so if you try this technique out...use light pastels.

This was a swap that one of my stamp clubs did last month...it was for Thank you cards....and this was my contribution...will post the other swaps later...they are still packed away in my bag....

Speaking of that...you should see my office....I'm still sorting thru the show...and so there are bags and boxes everywhere....Ugh....no more shows after the one I have this weekend....if you want to go to a good craft fair...there is one at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Security....stop by an say "hi"!!

Well, the snow that has been trying to fall all day, has started...we shall see what this brings...I may be home tomorrow, and if I am, will definatly post!!!

Class Day

If you weren't here..you missed a great Class...this was one of my Mini Big Shot Classes. We did 3 cards, using different techniques with the Big Shot.

All of the projects were designed back in June....then the new catalog came out and this Die was no longer availabe...but we had the little Petal Envelope Punch....so I made a matching mini treat holder...it holds and M & M. So cute. The class was also recheduled 3 times....so it has sort of evolved!!!!

Here's project #2....I ended up changing the papers on this one...and I love these colors....this is using Alunminum from a soda can in the Big Shot.....Makes some neat things...and there are no sharp edges like you would think!!!

Lastly, we did the Buttervly Die....and I just love this card....He almost lifts off of the page!!!

The wind doth blow.....oh boy, is it windy!!!! I think our trash cans are in Kansas by now!!! All the tomatoes are in...have been giving them away, and will make sauce this weekend.....

There are a few uprooted plants in the gargage with tomatoes ripening....but the garden is now officially done!!!

Today was my day off...catch up day!!! I had my hair done first thing...bad idea...I looked like a mad woman once I hit the door!!! Will be spending this afternoon cutting paper for upcoming events!!! Then RMI this evening...Woo Hoo...one of my sanity savers!!!!

The Stamp Show went very well this past weekend....the facilities at the Larimer County Fairgrounds were fantastic....wish the crowds had been a bit heavier....it is a long way out there!!! The drive home wasn't fun....there was a big wreck on I-25...so I decided to cut over to E-470....early to avoid it all...but the exit I took was one of those split ones...then the guy in front of me cut me off, so I missed my exit...and ended up going west instead of east...to Boulder....due to bad directions from a gal at McDonalds in Broomfield....So after much wandering in the dark, I finally found a road I knew...but it took me almost 4 hours to get home.....not fun.

Today was a very productive day. Got the house back to normal, then got some show work done...and then I actually got my swaps for Wednesday night done....

Then I thought I would share the projects that Joyce shared with us last month...at RMI....since we will be meeting Wednesday....

Too much fun!!!!

I finally feel like I'm getting caught up....thought I would share one is from Naomi....but I don't know who did the 2 more birthday cards I got from gals in the Rocky Mountain Inkslingers group. The Purple one is from Naomi, but not sure who did the Blue one...but love them both!!!

We also have a brand new Grandaughter....will get pictures up later...haven't been able to get them off of my camera yet!!! Her name is Emily, and she was 5 weeks early...but both mother and baby are doing fine!!!

I am so sorry I haven't been posting...I have been feverishly trying to get things together for the Stamp Show up in Loveland on the 22 and 23rd.....and I have also had some Christmas Invitations that I have been trying to get done for work...once I am thru those, I think my life will get more normal....We already know the dates of the 2 shows for next year...so it won't be so crazy, if I'm careful!!!! Will post the invitations in a day or 2...as they are almost done!!!

I have so much to do, and am trying not to stress out...so decided...I would do what I could and the rest would just have to wait for another day...with that attitude...I did amazing things.....Started this morning....decided to put a yummy dinner in the Crock Pot...Chicken with all the fixin's...was it yummy!!! And the house smeslled heavenly all day...Oregano and Rosemary...yumm!!! I also decided, while I was making a collosal mess in the Kitchen to make stuffed cabbage for tomorrow...since I will be gone all day...I will just have to have Steven pop it in the oven...toss a salad together...and we're good!!! After that was all done...Steven came in and said he'd clean up the Kitchen...gotta love them!!! So I went off and tackled some laundry, and a little housework....so now I don't feel like I've neglected it too much....Next I tackled Bills....the much dreaded chore...and I guess cause the house was smelling so domestic...and I was on a roll...it only took a very short time. Next I worked a little on the Booth for the Show up in Denver in 2 weeks....so I no longer feel so behind in that...and can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! So now I'm getting my swap together for tomorrow....will share it later...And hopefully I can throw a project together....Thought I would show a few Birthday cards from August....I just found a stack from Rocky Mountain Inkslingers....

I just love it when the weather finally turns a little cooler!!! I have so much more energy. Today was a great weekend!!! Yesterday I had a wonderful workshop at Sharon's'....When I get my kits cleaned up, I will show what we made...but the Owl Treat Boxes were a big hit!!! Thanks Kim for the idea!!!

Today was catch up day for all sorts of odds and ends...but I did manage a great phone call to my brother Mike, and then a nap!!!! Topped it of with homemade meatloaf, squash casserole and fresh green beans from the garden....the last of them, for dinner!!! We have tomatoes coming out of our ears...so will probably make sauce on Wednesday...along with some baking!!! Yumm!!! Another reason I love this time of year...the smells and tastes are so good!!!!

Thought I'd share one of the Rag Purses I finally got together for me!!!

I just love the red and black colors together. Have material for one more of this size and then I'm gonna make a tote bag size, in yellow and black!!! These little bags are very easy to make, minimal sewing, and they are very quick!!!!...Addicting too!!!

A Very Productive Day

Hello All....today was my day off...started with a doctors appointment...then went and bought some new work shoes....my old ones sort of started falling apart....came home and made some Zuchinni Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting...yummm!!! Will have those with dinner, Cheeseburgers, mashed potatoes, and squash (yes, we still have squash,and ALL the tomatoes are about to turn red!!) Then have spent the rest of the day catching up in my office...so I can stamp for fun tonite!!! Life is good!!!

I will be doing a booth at the PaperCraft Fest in Loveland in October...so have been getting things together for that!!! Don't want to wait till alst minute!!!

Bad Luck/ No Luck??

We have had a rash of car problems this past month...Steven has fixed or had fixed, everyones car at least once...some more then once this past month....Yesterday...got into my car...and it was again deader then a doornail...this, after replacing the battery 2 weeks ago...this time it was the starter....which is being caused by an oil leak that is dripping on it...it shorted out...he fixed the starter, but needs to get the oil leak fixed or it will happen again....it's always something!!! CARS...

I was able to use his truck, and get to work today..and he was able to fix it...and use my car to get to school...so in the end God was watching out for us!!! I worked thru lunch, anticipating leaving early to get him the truck for school...so I was able to leave early, run the few errands I had...and I will have some time to myself later this week...WOOHOO!!!! Thought I would post a few swap cards from Phyllis' a few weekends ago....We did Fall...so lots of yummy colors!!!

I am lovin' these cooler days and crisp nights....although didn't like the full moon last night...it kept me awake!!!! Kept thinking someone had left the front lights on....got up to check twice....I guess I need to get some heavier curtains for our room...Nick has black-out ones in his room...he's such a mole!!!

Am so ready for a day off....love work...but love the break too!!!! Busy time of year!!! Worked like crazy all week...Steven was booked solid with inspections....and these were full house inspections...I can only pray that it keeps up!!! So we were like ships passing in the night... about the time I'd be crashing in the Lazy-Boy..he's be coming in...

Thought I'd post what we did Tuesday night for our Technique Class....It was a Faux Torn Look...very easy, and a very nice card!!!

If anyone would like to join us we meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month...cost is only a $2.00 material fee...and we learn a new technique each month...so 12 new ideas a year!!! Let me know!!!

Stamper's 10 projects

It has been a busy week...Monday I worked, and then had to run errands after work, and didn't make it home till after 8:30, and was ready for bed by the time the groceries were put up!!! Tuesday I worked, and had my Technique Tuesday class after, then orders to put up, and order....and again, and early night for me....I'm turning into a pumpkin!!!

Started writing this on Wednesday, but obviously didn't get it finished, so Wednesday was my day off...and I ran all day....didn't help that they had my orders all messed up for lab work...and so I ran across town and back 3 times...why they could not do this with a fax I do not know....So didn't get all done I had planned....and then almost forgot that I had Rocky Mountain Inkslingers to go to for 6:30...rushed off to that...and was glad I did...stamping for fun is so much fun!!!

Today I worked...and so now I'm playing catch up in my Studio....thought I would post the projects that we did at this month's Stamper 10...This first one was one of the Make-n-Takes from Convention...
A very sinmple but nice card....I'm lovin' simple right now!!!

The next was in one of my publications from Stampin' Up...Gotta love that!!!

Another simple card...the article was about using the Embossing Folders and Texture Plates in your stamping to get more texture into your projects....Photos don't do justice... this first one is using and embossing folder on the yellow...and texture plate on the orange....

This one, you actually make your own embossing template with a window sheet and the Big Shot....then dry emboss the old fashioned way, and...

I love this one...using the embossing folders and then lightly rubbing with an ink pad, direct to paper...to give it an antiqued look. Gotta love the grandangel too!!!

Tomorrow is a much needed day of relaxation....I'm getting together with some of my dear Stampin' Frineds...and we will stamp the afternoon away....It is much needed!!!

We always do a swap...and our theme for this one is either Get Well or Thinking of You....so here is my swap...I was trying ot use up some discontinued ribbon and Designer Paper....

Then we all bring a project ...and do what I call power stamp....Everyone brings projects with enought supplies so that we assemply line make the projects...and each go home with 2-3 of each project....So the theme for projects was Fall Birthday....and here is my contribution...

Again some discontinued ribbon to use up!!!
After I leave there...Steven and I are off to Dinner for Eight...so will tell you about that tomorrow....But needless to say...today was a busy one, putting together all of my swaps and project..and then I had to bake dessert for dinner....Peanutbutter and Chocolate Brownies A'la Mode. Got them all made...and Nick, who was home from school said..."where's mine?"...so had to make a second batch, and then I also threw together some fruit dip for apples to take for Stamping....Yumm!!!! Then made a Zuchinni/Hamburger casserole for dinner....which I actually made 2, so will freeze one...for later this week, along with lasagne from last week...so we should be good!!!!

Way past time for a Tutorial!!!

Haven't done a Tutorial in a while...this is one of the 3-D projects I did as a swap at Convnetion!!!

It's a gum holder!!! This is really a fun, quick projct to make for a quick gift. Start with a piece of cardstock, color of your choice, cut 11" X 3".
Next you will want to score at 4 1/2" and the 4 1/2". 9 wELL A HAIR BEYOND 4 1/2" so it doesn't crunch when you fold it up.

In the first 4 1/2" section, you will want to punch your word window punch to give you your hole to slide your gum into.
On the 3 outside edges, you will want to place a strip of Sticky Strip...whenever you are making something that has a lot of foled pressure, you want to make sure you use sticky strip...it's the only thing that will hold!!!

Take off your red strips and fold your sleeve down...You are done the basic holder...now to decorate.
The front piece is 4" X 2 1/2" and you can decorate it any way you want.

I stamped a piece and did some layering...and made a piece that I layered and poped out to give it some texture and dimension.

We've been so busy this week at work...One of our boards is going to production..and so I've been up to my eyeballs in audits of parts...I was so glad to see that box go out the door today....Then they have me compiling some records, and reports...again...up to my eyeballs in legal research....I didn't even realize it was 5:00 this afternoon...rushed out so fast, I forgot my cell phone...so need to run back by tomorrow....But I'm almost done that task...and I think I got the hang of it eventually!!!! It was so quiet today as half the office is on a business trip, and most of the Engineers were at a class up in Denver, ....I didn't realize how much I missed their bantering....They are a good group of people!!!

Our Technique for that night was Sponging Direct to Paper...and this is our page for our Technique Book. The leaf is layer sponged...this technique works best on more large,solid stamps!!!

Much cooler day today...had to break out some jeans...it's my day off this week, so, I'm trying to play catch up!!! Picked up the house early, got caught up on laundry,then ran out to get some bank and post office stuff out of the way!!! Back home for some more cleaning...seems like that is a never ending battle...then... what to do with all of of this zucchini...so made some more zucchini bread and will take a loaf over to the new neighbors across the street!!! Dee...I tried your recipe, as I wasn't happy with the way my old regular zucchini bread recipe came out last time....

Was going thru my pile of things I need to post, and found last month's Stamper's 10 project...which I thought I had posted...and since we meet again tomorrow, thought I should get it on here, along with a Sneek Peek of this months projects!!!

Time for Another Happily Appily!!!

Yup....when my daughter called....I was like...but it can't be that time of year yet...but it is...We made our annual trip to the Happy Apple Farm in Penrose to pick apples for the winter, fully expecting a bumper crop, since our garden is so prolific...and we weren't disappointed. Razeberries were just coming in...so didn't get too many of those, and Blackberries will be ready in a week or 2...they are gonna be great...but the apples...oh my gosh...I have never seen trees so full of apples....

Got done there...didn't get as many as last year....had a hard time using them all up....so we headed home to start dinner...had a yummy chicken barbeque, with potatoe salad, a squash medly, tossed salad...and apple Crisp with ice cream and watermelon!!!! Alli, Arron and Emma joined us. Poor Princess Emma....she fell and broke her ankle...there is nothing more pathentic than a baby with a cast on it's leg trying to crawl....but it doesn't see to stop her!!!!
